Elvis Anytime, A Mostly Imagined History of Peterborough, Chelsea Bennett

Right now, I’ve got three projects underway – the Artsweek Peterborough-commissioned film ‘A Mostly Imagined History of Peterborough‘, a live performance film of local musician Chelsea Bennett, and a promotional video and live performance by Elvis Anytime, Mr. Robert Moncrief.

Rob’s a lot of fun to work with – he’s always got a smile on his face, and he’s always ready to perform.  It’s amazing the way that fans react to him, almost as though he were the real Elvis.  They’re thrilled when he gives them a teddy bear   or a lei – always with a kiss on the cheek.  I don’t’ often see a crowd that engaged with a  performer, but I guess most people feel that Elvis is/was a pretty important figure musically, as well as in their lives.
